ConnectMyApps Ltd Privacy Policy

Welcome to the website (the "Site") of ConnectMyApps AS ("ConnectMyApps", "we", "us" and/or "our"). This Site is operated by ConnectMyApps and has been created to provide information about our company and its content and services (the "Service") for "visitors" and/or "users" ("you", "your").

This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to information including personal data and other information that is collected from visitors and/or users of the Site and Services.

By using the Service you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and provide full consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal data by ConnectMyApps.

If you do not agree to the terms, please do not use the Service or access our Site. If you are under 18 years of age, consent from a parent or guardian is required to use the Service.

This policy only relates to ConnectMyApps’ Privacy Policy and terms. Information provided by you to third-parties via the ConnectMyApps Site and Service will be governed according to the third-party’s own terms and privacy policies. We do not guarantee these parties comply with the applicable data protection regulations.

Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information

We use personal data to run ConnectMyApps and may on occasion use it to provide recommendations or suggestions for other ConnectMyApps Services you might be interested in. If we intend to use your personal data in a way we have not mentioned, we will let you know when we collect that information. We also may aggregate user data anonymously to understand our customer base better, without identifying individuals.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you consent to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data to the Services, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of ConnectMyApps and authorized third parties.

If you contact ConnectMyApps for support, feedback, feature requests etc, we reserve the right to publish it in order to help clarify or respond to your request or to help support other users.

Personal Data Collection

When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address and account credentials. It is your responsibility to ensure the personal information provided is true, accurate and up to date. This information is stored and used so we can provide you with access to the Service and to monitor your use of such.

ConnectMyApps uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For example, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question.

Technical Data Collection and Processing

In addition to the personal information you provide when registering your account, ConnectMyApps will routinely gather and process some technical information such as the IP address or cookie information from your computer, the number and frequency of visitors to the Site, the URL that you just came from and where you go next, and your computer browser information. This data is used to help improve the user experience and Site performance.

We may store a 24 hours log of your data for troubleshooting. If an error occurs the log may be stored for a longer period of time to help us troubleshoot user issues.

Third-Party Service Authentication Information

To use our Services to connect to various third-party software applications and web services, we need to store login credentials. We store these credentials in our database using industry standard encryption. The authentication credentials you provide will only be used by ConnectMyApps to access the applications in the manner specified by the Service. We may also log some non-identifiable information to provide support and fix problems.

Use of cookies

To operate our Site and Services, we may use "cookies", which is a piece of information that the computer hosting our Services puts on your browser when you access the Site or Services. Our cookies help provide additional functionality to the Services and help us analyze Site and Service usage more accurately. For example, our Services may set a cookie on your browser that allows you to access the Services without entering your login information every time. Our cookies do not collect Personal Data.

Most web browsers have a "help" section on the toolbar with information on how to receive notification when you are receiving a new cookie and how to turn cookies off. We recommend that you leave cookies turned on because they allow you to take advantage of some of the Services's features. If you deactivate cookies some functions of ConnectMyApps may be reduced or unavailable. We do not control the use of cookies by third parties.

Payment information

ConnectMyApps does not collect or store credit card information. Any credit card information is processed and managed by our secure payment gateway partner.

Links to external websites

This Privacy Policy relates only to the ConnectMyApps Site. Our Site and communications include links to many third-party sites, however we cannot control or take responsibility for any other sites nor their data privacy policies.

User Consent

By sending us your personal data, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the terms of this Privacy Policy and consent to:

  • the collection and processing of your contact information by ConnectMyApps in accordance with the indicated purposes established by this policy.
  • the processing of your data within the European Union and/or Norway by third party data processors (e.g. for the purpose of providing services to us such as hosting, payment services etc).
  • receive commercial communications from ConnectMyApps, in accordance with the applicable laws on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce.
  • communication of the data to other site Users outside the European Union and Norway at the request of the User.

Disclosure of Personal Data

ConnectMyApps does not sell or rent our users data. In the ordinary course of business, we work with partners or contractors, who may require limited access to your personal data in order to perform their work. These partners must comply legally with similar data protection regulations and treat your data with the same degree of care as they would their own users/customers.

There may be situations in which ConnectMyApps is required to disclose personally identifiable and/or non-personally identifiable information about you or your use of our Site and Service to comply with a legal obligation or to deliver its Services or perform other obligations in accordance with the Terms of Use of the Site and Service.

Disclosure of non-identifiable aggregated data

In order to continuously improve our Service and offerings, we may compile, analyze and share with third parties data in aggregate form related to, for example, customer demographics and behaviour. This information cannot be used to identify you personally. 

ConnectMyApps may also disclose aggregated user statistics to describe our Services to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

International disclosures

Users expressly accept that we may disclose or internationally transfer your data to other Users and third parties that are located outside the European Union. This international disclosure or transfer will only be performed for the sole purposes stated under these Terms and Conditions.

Business transfer

In the course of business ConnectMyApps, or substantially all of its assets, may be acquired, merged or dissolved. In situations such as this, customer information is likely to be one of the assets transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that any acquirer of ConnectMyApps may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Data security measures

We take data security seriously, and have implemented reasonable technical steps to protect your private information and account credentials from loss, unauthorized use or access. These include encryption, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software and other industry standard methods for the transmission and storage of data.

Due to the nature of the internet and related information technology services, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and expressly disclaim any such obligation. Please keep this in mind when deciding what information to disclose. If you suspect a security breach please inform us immediately so we can take appropriate action. Similarly, if we become aware of a breach we will notify you so you can take the necessary steps.

Commercial Communications

By registering your data with ConnectMyApps you expressly consent to receive commercial communications regarding the Site and Service, including alerts, notices, newsletters, offers and promotions. These commercial communications will only be sent by ConnectMyApps. We do not rent or sell your data to any third-parties.

If you do not wish to receive information from this Site you can “opt-out” of future communications by emailing a request to info@connectmyapps.com or by changing your email preferences in the ConnectMyApps CloudManager™dashboard.

Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use are governed by Norwegian law unless a specific local regulation sets forth to the contrary.

Exclusions

This Privacy Policy only applies to private information we collect via the Services. If you post unsolicited information in a public place, such as our blog, social media sites, support forums, or suggestions for new products or improvements to existing products, it shall be deemed non-confidential and becomes public information which can be shared, distributed and reproduced without limitation or attribution.

Changes to ConnectMyApps's Privacy Policy

If anything in our Privacy Policy changes, we will let you know as far in advance as is reasonably practical via our Site or via an email.
